A clear path forward

You'll know what happens at every step before it happens. Here's the whole process, from your first question to a confident next move.

The four steps

  1. 01

    Step 1 of 4

    Tell us about your situation

Answer a few short questions, or call us. It takes about three minutes.

  2. 02

    Step 2 of 4

    We review your information

Our team learns about your circumstances and where you stand with the VA today.

  3. 03

    Step 3 of 4

    Understand your options

We explain the possible next steps in plain language, including the ones we can't help with.

  4. 04

    Step 4 of 4

    Move forward with confidence

You leave knowing what comes next, what may be required, and who to call with questions.

What each step involves

What you do, and what we do, at each stage.
  1. 01Tell us about your situation

    You

Answer a few questions about your service, any current rating and what you'd like help with. Or call us if you'd rather talk.

    Our team

We read every answer before we reach out, so you won't have to repeat yourself.

  2. 02We review your information

    You

Have a short conversation with our team by phone.

    Our team

We learn about your circumstances, your history with the VA and what's changed.

  3. 03Understand your options

    You

Ask anything. There are no wrong questions.

    Our team

We explain the possible paths in plain language, and we tell you plainly when something isn't a good fit.

  4. 04Move forward with confidence

    You

Decide what you want to do, in your own time.

    Our team

If we can help further, we explain what that involves and our fees before any paid work begins.

Questions about the process

How does the process begin?

You answer a few short questions about your situation through our consultation form, or call us. A member of our team reviews what you shared and calls you to talk through your options. See how it works.

What information should I have before contacting you?

Nothing is required to start a conversation. If you have them handy, it helps to know your current combined rating (if you have one), the conditions you're thinking about, and roughly when your last VA decision arrived.

Please don't send medical records, your Social Security number or your VA file number through our website forms.

How long does the VA disability process take?

It varies. The VA decides how long a claim takes, and timing depends on the type of claim, the evidence needed and whether exams are scheduled. The VA publishes current average processing times on VA.gov (opens in a new tab).

We'll be honest about what we know and don't know about timing in your situation.

Can you guarantee that my rating will increase?

No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. The VA alone decides claims and ratings, based on the evidence and its rating criteria.

What we can promise is clear explanations, honest answers and respect for your time, including when the answer isn't what you hoped to hear.

How much does it cost?

Your first consultation call is completely free. If you'd like to work with us after that, we explain our fees during that call, before any paid work begins, so you know exactly what to expect.
